Fraunhofer Institute of Building Physics.
The Holzkirchen branch of the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics is a site for performing laboratory and field tests in order to assess the thermal and hygric behaviour of building materials and components. This has led to the creation by the scientists working there of the WUFI suite of software which simulates hygric behaviour,. Building Life Consultancy was appointed the Irish co-operation partner for the promotion of WUFI and hygrothermal simulation in March 2011.

- Passivhaus Institute – The Passivhaus Institut was founded in 1996, by Dr. Wolfgang Feist, as an independent research institution. It employs physicists, mathematicians and civil, mechanical and environmental engineers, performing research and development on highly efficient energy use. It is the home of the world famous Passive House Standard and Passive House Planning Package (PHPP)
- International Hemp Building Association – The IHBA aims to work for the gathering and dissemination of knowledge about the materials and systems from those developing and using them to those wishing to.
